Provident Bank, the largest independent full-service community bank in the lower Hudson Valley, today announced the promotion of two banking professionals:
William F. Vacca was appointed senior vice president of retail banking and community business lending. Vacca joined Provident Bank in October 2004 after serving as senior vice president at Warwick Savings Bank. Most recently, he served as Provident Bank’s regional vice president, retail banking and community business lending. As senior vice president, Vacca oversees 31 branches in the bank’s six-county market and has responsibility for all community business lending loans under $1 million.
Thomas J. Fitzgerald was appointed vice president and corporate services officer. Most recently, Fitzgerald served as assistant vice president and corporate services officer. As vice president, Fitzgerald’s responsibilities include reaching out to the business community in Orange, Ulster and Sullivan counties. He will also work with Provident’s commercial bankers to fulfill the needs of the business community in the areas assigned.
Fitzgerald came to Provident Bank from the Times Herald-Record newspaper in Middletown, where he was a major account representative. Prior to that, he owned a Coca-Cola franchise in Bayside for 25 years.
