E-Learning Courses Expand
The Massachusetts Bankers Association is now offering online and interactive Web-based education seminars through agreements with several new providers including: Sage Online Learning, Acadient, Independent Community Bankers of America, Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Boston Learning.The new training courses, coupled with the MBA’s traditional live programs and popular telephone seminars, provide member banks with a broad range of topics, content, levels and delivery, guaranteeing total staff training in a convenient, cost-effective and timely manner.
Members can access all of the offerings by logging on to massbankers.org, then click “events,” then “E-Learning.” From there, bankers can access all of the course offerings, browse the various provider catalogues, register for a course or a series of courses, and try a demo course before buying or arranging for a package of courses.
Each of the providers will work with the bank to make the E-Learning experience successful. Each provider offers different types of courses, from compliance to training, to becoming a certified financial planner. Uses include: self improvement, bringing new hires up-to-speed on compliance issues, testing and/or training staff, or working on Microsoft application skills. Additionally, some providers offer monthly specials in areas such as teller training.The MBA E-Learning page is a dynamic page, adding new providers and programs that will give members continuing options in training. The combination of live, E-Learning and telephone training provides any bank with a well-rounded program of study for bank staff.
